Recently I decided to add another item to the list of things we no longer buy at the grocery store. I don't know about you, but I'm so tired of looking at the list of ingredients on a prodcuct and it basically looks like a novel! Even with foods that are labeled as "Natural" or "organic", they are packing all sorts of chemicals and sneaky additives into pretty much everything!
We been making all of our own coffees at home since we switched to raw goats milk, but I was really missing my Starbucks Mochas, so I messed around with some chocolate sauce recipes until I came up with this winner!! If you want to you can absolutely sub the cane sugar for maple syrup, coconut sugar, or whatever sweetener you prefer. But for the result I was looking for, cane sugar is what is best. This recipe works great for anything you would a chocolate syrup in like chocolate milk, hot chocolate, mochas, on ice cream etc.
What cocoa powder do you use?
